A liberating perspective on the deceptively idealized Unification Movement and its idolatry of the Moon family. May these insights help misled generous souls to break free from the Unificationist treacherous manipulation and subtly induced spiritual enslavement, with love and forgiveness...

Absolute belief means sometimes being angry with logic and reality. For example, when the “revealed Truth” or the messianic words remain 100% right, even when factual evidences clearly contradict the so-called “Divine insights”. Such blindness can only lead to hypocritical and manipulative behaviors.
Once the unquestionable Unificationist dogma of the sinless “True Family” has been set up, anything the Moons’ would ever do must necessarily have a “Providential” justification. So, the exposure of their lies and corruption is first always denied and then justified by acrobatic far-fetched explanations which are literally…unbelievable.
What about Sun Myung Moon fathering illegitimate children? Don’t you know that the perfected messiah can’t commit adultery? Actually God has ordered him to “save” all women through the “six Marys”. Unless (as a fundamentalist unificationist once tried to explained it), while SMM was sleeping, someone had managed to get his sperm in a straw without his knowing to secretly inseminate those women! That’s indeed creative theology…
What about Tatiana Moon, when she could not hide anymore the birth of her “secret” child conceived out of wedlock? She was officially removed from her position “for medical reasons”…
Long ago, when theologians were lacking information, their attempt to stick to Scriptures led them to explain things in ways that were unavoidably ambiguous and intellectually unsatisfying. Their imagination easily came to supplant logic and “Mysteries” remained accepted smoke screens to explain God’s ways. It kept believers focusing on faithfully living the best possible sacrificial life.
Today however through the God inspired advancement of modern technology and the instant sharing of information, any ambiguous account or secretly hidden fact can easily be investigated and crosschecked. And hidden secrets can lastly be unveiled and widely spread . Anyone can now have free access to most recent discoveries in all fields , at least within democratic countries.
Why then would Unificationists continue to cling to mere obscurantism and to their misleading messiahs' absurd statements or plain lies?
The reason lays in their fearful refusal to go beyond their present “comfort zone”, however illogical and unsatisfying it might be. Within their providentially justified bondage, they have been trained to never commit the sin of “disbelief”. This would imply for them to be struck down by satanic chastisement and possibly lose their prior holy status.
It unfortunately comes down to “fear” a sadistic god, who has usurped the throne of a generous loving Creator…
Nonetheless, in spite of their erroneous and weird teaching, most Unificationists genuinely keep expressing encompassing love. But some diehard fundamentalists have alas become narrow minded bigots who seem able to strangle others with their “truth”…
Humans have been searching for greater understanding and have then creatively imagined weirdest theories. In our life journey we all need hopeful encouragements while referring to valuable lessons. We can find them in other people's heroic exemplary achievements (either real or fictional), but we can also learn a lot in other people's examples to the contrary…
Luckily, through modern psychology, manipulations technics can now be explained. So we can more easily liberate ourselves from pernicious influences from domineering teachers. Fake messiahs are using subtle ambiguities to promote dogmatic bias and control their followers' minds.
Unificationist core beliefs are 100% based on extrapolated biblical legends. Divine Principle is based on a hypothetical scenario which is starring Adam and Eve fictional characters. Sadly Sun Myung Moon has so efficiently hammered this fiction story in the minds of his followers that they have come to believe that his messianic words are infallible. Unificationists have then weirdly reached this ultimate theological conclusion: only humans who have been allowed by Sun Myung Moon to have sex can be “saved” (!!??) Consequently Unificationists are eternally indebted to “True Parents”(!!??) And they should pledge absolute obedience and total submission to their messiahs and their presumably sinless “True Family” (!!??)…
OMG, how did I come to believe all that nonsense? I was certainly too idealistic and far too naïve. I blindly trusted apparently sincere loving people who actually were both angry with logic and rather deceptive “for the good cause”.
There are now three Unificationist sects which are mutually excommunicating each other. They however cherry pick within the same “infallible scriptures” to justify their absolute rightful authority over others, as the true king or queen or whatever…
I guess many members from the second generation are getting fed up with such uninspiring messianic saga. They might prefer passionately debating on different potential scenarios of “Games of Thrones”…
I just hope the hearts of fundamentalist Unificationists will remain full of Love and respect for others. I hope they won’t target me (or any of their next-door neighbor) as an enemy who would deserve to be annihilated for being less fundamentalist than them.
Let’s hope no “World Peace fighter” will ever make use of the deadly weapons which are manufactured in the Moons' armament factories, as violent fundamentalist Islamists cowardly do.
We sadly know too well that absolute belief can also sadly turn to theological fascism.
So Love, beyond all scriptures, is definitely the answer. And undoubtedly my salvation…
