ONE WORLD UNDER GUNS

Isn't the "One world under God" UM motto weirdly turning toward "one world under guns"?

Hyung Jin Moon is now pretending to be God's special champion for our times. He comes to rule with "the rod of iron" which he has revealed to be nothing less than an AR15.

And his followers are blindly parroting him to justify his claims:

“Thus, supporting, and leaning and smiting” become functions which need the “accoutrements” of a king, the staff and the Rod of Iron, which have the royal power over life and death…” Regis Hanna

How and why did idealistic unificationists come to follow such a dangerous and dreadful ideology?

When they can’t mobilize people anymore, totalitarian leaders usually rely on imaginary threat and paranoid fears to desperately get attention and support from disillusioned ones.

This strangely happens both in religious sects and in extremist political parties. Their vehement leaders usually have a messianic complex and latent paranoia. It  leads them to obsessively insist on the need to “protect" themselves and their troops against persecutions and attacks from “evil” (Evil means all those who think different than them).

Ironically, these weird behaviors take place within democratic nations where people can vote and elect their representatives who ceaselessly keep improving laws and constitutions to guarantee everyone‘s rights and freedom.

The “apocalyptic leaders” have a talent to focus on rarest insignificant events and to blow them up and make them look like a permanent dangerous threat; like insistent insurance salesmen trying hard to convince you of the absolute necessity to sign up a contract against the imminent danger of a spaceship destroying your house.

And for sure, everyone should know that their house will completely be blown up when this will happen. So they should wisely take some efficient preventive measures. Divine principle and the Moons’ talks are full of “if” . Mentioning imaginary and most improbable scenarios has become a UM trademark. So, if Adam and Eve…, if Jesus…, if America…, if we are attacked…etc.…

That how Sun Myung Moon cleverly managed to “prove and justify” he was the Messiah. His narrative was based on a mixture of unlikely biblical events and other legends which sprung from his own peculiar interpretation. When needed he added other lies and relied on manipulation toward fulfilling his megalomaniac ambitions.

So for years UM members have been holding the deceitful belief in an idealized, but nonexistent, “True Family” represented by the Moons.

However, instead of soundly admitting they had made a poor choice and been misled by a fake messiah, some Unificationists have sadly drifted from a fervent “In God we trust” to a dangerous “In guns we trust” perspective.
