TABOOS, POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND DISTURBING QUESTIONS

In Matthew 10:26, Jesus mentioned: “Nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known”

Once upon a time, in the UM, questioning was a sign of unfaithfulness and was seen as a satanic attack. 

Why then did God bother to grant each one of us with critical sense and discernment abilities?  After 30 years in the UM, mine were almost brand new, since I had hardly been using them!

Totalitarian ideologies and closed systems of thought definitely become spiritual prisons which sadly restrain the flowering of individuals. Such ideologies may seductively appear as peaceful havens where everything seems to make sense, since everything you need to know is supposed to be written in the all-knowing leader’s book. You don’t need to look elsewhere and you are persuaded to part of the chosen ones. Your status gives you the privilege to shut your mouth, to work hard and to sacrifice everything for the good cause. It may seems excitingly rewarding for a while, but awfully unsatisfactory in the long run.

Is Unificationism falling into such category? Is this an impertinent question?

Can Unificationists take the challenge to honestly look at things from different angles or different points of view? Or is peer pressure so strong that they have to give up questioning and blindly surrender to UM conformity?

However, the way Rev.Moon sees God’s point of view is indeed... Rev Moon's point of view.

Then, isn’t great to have a place where we can respectfully question the consistency of the UM teaching and of Rev Moon's words? I can't see any other way to get answers and clarifications on shady aspects of Unificationism which we sincerely believe or have believed was true at some point in our lives.
