CAN WE SWITCH ON THE LIGHT?

Unificationist teaching (DP) can be seen as one theory among various other theological interpretations of Biblical legends. DP often refers to recurrent analogies between narratives of fictional characters who are mentioned in the Bible and other real people’s historical achievements. DP also arbitrarily uses “providential” numbers (1,2,3,4,6,7,8,10,12,21,40 etc.…) in its attempt to “prove” or “demonstrate” that DP is God’s revealed message.

 In spite of its undeniably clever and imaginative approach, this DP ambitious claim is far from being intellectually convincing, once we analyze it with a critical mind. Actually one can only adheres to DP by “belief”, for it pretends to encapsulate other previous "beliefs" through fascinatingly altering their traditional meaning (ex: the mission of Jesus, the second coming).

 We can then fairly recognize DP is another theory, with its own circular logic, but definitely not an objective scientific truth.

However the most puzzling for outsiders is of course Unificationists’ irrational idealization and absolute idolatry of the Moon family. Therefore a critical analyze of Unificationism can’t avoid mentioning both the overlooked inner contradictions and the numerous inaccuracies within the message. All these flaws have their outward manifestations in the poor behaviors and deceitful claims of its leaders who are supposed to be the DP substantial embodiments.

Humankind has been undertaking a long march towards enlightenment through both science and religion. In this process, wonders have been manifested by people who held imperfect theories but treasured a willing heart, and it has resulted in precious accomplishments. These people whose heart stirred them up in wisdom didn’t boast nor insist on being worshipped for their “own greatness”. They were able to return the glory to God, for their heart were positively inclined towards Him.

Hubris is very dangerous and unlikeable. Neither a loving God nor any truly great person can ever boast about their own greatness. Only megalomaniac dictators do it to control others.

The recommended (or mandatory) idolatry of the “true family” has become a huge stumbling block for UM members themselves in their desire to reach out to others . For years this has become one of the main cause of the slowing down of witnessing activities . Such personality cult practice had obviously a repelling effect. It can only discourage sincere truth seekers (at least in democratic countries) from studying more in depth DP .

In this time of transparency, we can then sort out the wheat from the chaff.

For God’s love and wisdom are always guiding us to acknowledge our erroneous ways of thinking . We are made to live abundant blessed lives where all deserve the best treatment, and where no one will ever try to dominate and control others.

Let's open our eyes and switch on the light. It will lastly dismiss the perverted UM dream...
