Pretending is an attempt to manipulate others through a deceptive denial of reality, by lying to oneself and to others.
For years, Rev Moon has been pretending that his family was a true, sinless and loving family. They were the actual embodiment of the "God centered 4 position foundation". The Moon family was the first and only perfect family who had ever achieved the ultimate purpose of God's creation.
It's no wonder that this glorious unproven claim became the corner-stone of the official Unificationist narrative which trusting Unificationists wholeheartedly believed in.
But, how “true”, “sinless” and “loving” is a divided family plagued by infighting, adultery, deceit, cheating, corruption, plots and blaming? The whole UM narrative, alas, appears to have been built on a huge heap of lies!
Why would then humankind trust such “messianic” family, once deceitfully presented as God’s prototype family? Today we can realize how sneaky and powerful the engineering of consent can be! Who would ever have imagined a desingenious narrative could have such a disastrous impact on unprepared trusting minds?
Will Unificationists recover from having collectively participated in this UM seductive idealization of a fake reality?
It went all from bad to worse. It first started with awful revelations about Rev Moon's early life. But these were all tackled as satanic “rumors” and labelled as "persecutions". Then we went through Hyo Jin Moon's mind-boggling misbehaviors. Few other adulteries and divorces later, came the disturbing excommunication of Preston Moon by his Father. Then it was Mrs. Moon removing her son Sean Moon from the UM leadership (Ironically they had earlier set up together the plot to remove Preston from this very position)
How could such a total mess come about?
The downfall of Unificationism actually resides within its very message: DP teaching leads Unificationists to unconditionally worship in total trust and unreservedly submit to the infallible messenger (Rev Moon, the Emperor of the Universe) and his “Sinless Royal True Family”. For Unificationists the Moons are indeed mankind's eternal “Abels” and the only doorways through which humankind can ever reach God.
However this very dogma of Rev Moon’s infallibility is now seriously questioned by recent exposure of awful realities. These shocking revelations don’t fit in the official narrative anymore. However, in a stubborn denial of reality, this is now strangely leading some members to put all the blame on Mrs. Moon or on her sons in a desperate try to discharge Rev Moon from any responsibility in the UM fiasco.
Unveiling inner corruption and plots within the divided Moon family is undeniably a healthy thing to do, for the sake of transparency. But isn’t this already the first reluctant step towards admitting the cruel reality of Rev Moon’s deceitful teaching?
It is probably a too big step to climb for those who desperately hang to the DP beliefs in order to justify Rev Moon's absolute Divine authority. It sadly implies for them to justify what is actually indefensible...
That is obviously the most heartbreaking challenge all Unificationists are facing today.
However God’s redeeming grace can't be restricted by Rev Moon's fallacious theology. God's life giving love shouldn't be limited by human sophisticated beliefs.
Isn’t God definitely prioritizing the nobility of our souls to our clumsy far-fetched reasoning?
