PREREQUISITE TO CHALLENGE DP THEOLOGY

Let’s face it. Heresy is rampant, particularly on this blog…

The medieval term “heretic” has surprisingly been used again by the so-called unifier Sun Myung Moon and the remaining believers in the dogmatic DP. This new label of "heretic" was first given in the UM to Hyun Jin Moon, and then to those who are not unconditionally submissive to Rev Moon. The new messiah considers his coercive theology to be the unquestionable expression of God's will.

Challenging one’s theology requires a genuine open mind and open heart. It means allowing oneself to question dogmas and unproven premises, through considering new approaches and added information.

It can’t be done by people who are 100% confident to detain the “Truth”. Their infallible theology makes it then useless to research beyond what they presently believe. There is nothing more to be discovered. Obviously perfection can’t ever be surpassed…

Bigoted believers have alas reached the point where they totally identify themselves with their sealed theology. They now mistakenly confuse their beliefs with a knowledge.

I often observed that dogmatic bigots do seem to enjoy quarrelling about beliefs. It’s their favorite sport. And since they have unilaterally decided to be themselves the referee, they happen to always “win». They are always right…from their point of view.

One can’t obviously see anything with closed eyes. Diehard “believers” can’t truly challenge their own theology either.   

Some Unificationists however dare to open their eyes. I would warmly recommend them  to thoughtfully read on this blog the long hidden information and heartfelt reflections which for years have been shared by former UM members. It greatly overrides the fear of being labelled an "heretic" and losing Rev Moon’s blessing.

I personally found it to be very helpful, and I am immensely grateful for these former members' contributions.

Challenging one’s beliefs is not easy. It can be painful. It takes time, research and reflection. But it’s liberating.

It’s not a leisure activity. Nor a ping pong game with Bible verses.

It’s not a fight against "evil people" who would need to be proven wrong.

It’s to be true to oneself and follow one’s inner heart and convictions, free from peer pressure, free from fear and free from manipulative induced guilt.

This would be my personal piece of advice to someone who is honestly willing to challenge the UM theology within God’s unwavering loving embrace.
