A liberating perspective on the deceptively idealized Unification Movement and its idolatry of the Moon family. May these insights help misled generous souls to break free from the Unificationist treacherous manipulation and subtly induced spiritual enslavement, with love and forgiveness...

Dear Unificationist friends,
Aren’t we fortunate to realize that God is far bigger than we can ever imagine! God manages to reach our hearts “in spite” of our erroneous concepts and weirdest beliefs.
This Divine intimate connection transcends our creeds and the restricted frame of mind we may be subjected to by our specific teaching and our religious leaders.
Nothing can ever stop the growth of one’s precious inner life, however odd or unsuitable the environment may subjectively seem. We unavoidably grow surrounded by other imperfect people.
For outsiders one's creed may appear totally incomprehensible. We are not dealing here with logic but with “beliefs” which are indeed beyond rationality.
When I was myself a member of the UM, I was totally convinced the DP teaching was logical and made perfect sense. But now I can perceive its flaws and its unsatisfying circular logic which I didn't grasp before. So I want to share here the liberating process that led me to such an awareness.
Nonetheless it seems that as long as we primarily focus on personal growth, in the very place we are presently standing, everything is fine. We keep facing our own challenges at our own pace. Within the same securing community we don’t feel the need to particularly question our common umbrella of beliefs.
However at some point we may feel the call to go further and dare to challenge these beliefs . Even if it implies to definitively leave behind our once accepted “ultimate truth” which we now feel is choking us.
Actually, God being eternal and infinite, is it so surprising that man’s thirst for learning be unquenchable and limitless his ability to marvel?
Very often our own explanations won’t fully reveal what is actually happening in our heart. Blaise Pascal said: “the heart has its own reasons that reason doesn’t know”. So much more profound is one’s reality than what one is able to explain with words.
That is probably the reason why religious dialogue often gets stuck in dead-ends within Babelcity...
Luckily, since DP pretends to reveal the highest truth which exceptionally seems to offer a logical explanation on “how God is working”, we should then be able to check it and scrutinize it with greatest attention.
In other words, DP and Rev Moon’s own claims are an implicit open invitation for everyone to check and test the rational validity of Unificationist teaching.
Not so strangely, to serenely do that, we'll first need to be ready to hear and seriously consider independent outside points of view. To enlarge and enrich our own vision we need to accept being challenged on the self-justifying DP and its subtle inner circular logic. No progress can ever be made without genuine and honest enquiry. Furthermore, only non Unificationist publications are objectively providing other important hidden information which unfortunately members themselves ignore or refuse to admit. This is one of the the reasons I created this blog.
Isn’t it rather problematic that Unificationist members are kept ignorant of the actual full picture of the UM? How can they make a proper use of their own God given critical mind if they only focus on a distorted idealized vision which eludes the unconfessed UM flaws and dark sides? Here we reach the essential issue of genuine choice and enlightened consent...
Such a disturbing enquiry is actually much more challenging than engaging in ecumenical discussions.
It is a highly sensitive challenge for DP believers. Without their knowing they may have come to mistakenly identify themselves with their beliefs.
But isn’t God definitely prioritizing the nobility of our souls to our clumsy far-fetched reasoning?
We are all indeed much more than what we believe. We should never forget that God doesn’t love us because of what we believe but because of who we are. And we should also feel the same toward others…
So please, don’t feel offended if my words and expressions seem a bit harsh or slightly sarcastic. It’s never intended to hurt anyone but to provide a salutary shock and a genuine reflection based on reality. I simply feel sometimes the need to “gently” rock the boat. I may irreverently be zooming on unpleasant facts and possibly be using “shocking” words. It's then to dramatically underline what I consider seriously overlooked aspects. I purposely want to express with clarity how things can be seen from unusual angles. It's also an opportunity to formulate alternative “heretical” perspectives.
God’s redeeming grace can't be simply restricted to Rev Moon's theology. God's life giving love can't be limited by human sophisticated beliefs.
I just wanted to let you know that I am definitely not hermetic to honest and sincere discussions based on factual reality.
To conclude, I must serenely confess that years in UM have definitely helped me mastering a certain level of self-control. So it might be comforting for you to know I won’t strangle anyone I strongly disagree with.
Lucky you! May Peace be with everyone…
