Beyond the mooniverse

A liberating perspective on the deceptively idealized Unification Movement and its idolatry of the Moon family. May these insights help misled generous souls to break free from the Unificationist treacherous manipulation and subtly induced spiritual enslavement, with love and forgiveness...

REARRANGING GENESIS MYTHICAL STORIES

Do you know anyone whose life has been wholly taken over by the Tristan and Iseult mythical narrative, or the Pygmalion and Galateo myth, or any other fictitious heroes' stories from Greek mythology? I personally don’t. That would indeed be very strange, wouldn’t it?

Nonetheless I firsthand know quite a few people whose lives are not only shaped by Biblical fiction stories, but are even entirely ruled by an opportunistic and manipulative story teller who had managed to rearrange these narratives to fit his megalomaniac ambitions.

Me too, in fact, I mistakenly had come to also believe in the seductive Divine Principle teaching. This so-called revelation from Rev Moon literally explains that our human history is the unquestionable outcome of the factual Genesis Adam and Eve story, as well as of the ludicrous Noah’s ark narrative. Then for years, while naively sparing every ounce of critical thinking, I blindly trusted Rev Moon was God’s appointed messenger who perfectly knew God's providential history and therefore detained a historical messianic role.

However, if these biblical Genesis stories were real historical events, how could we ever know so precisely the exact dialogues between God and Lucifer with Adam and Eve? And to start with, how could these two supposedly isolated teenagers have ever learned to master a complex human language out of the blue, without any other humans around them ? Besides, would a secret news reporter have been there in the nearby bushes, to inform us of how “the fall” had taken place? Can we seriously believe a first-hand anonymous witness has written an accurate report of what happened?

Would later another anonymous news reporter have survived the flood after having interviewed Noah when he was building the ark in order to achieve the so-called God’s ecological mega-project of that time (which actually was then the first mass murder and worse genocide ever of all human history)? If so, that hypothetical reporter definitely didn’t give us at all the accurate measurements of the vessel meant to save couples of each of the 7.5 million plus animal living species. (Unless he forgot to explain that Noah actually did not built just one ark but many, many thousands of such arks)

Furthermore the improbable reporter also forgot to mention how long it would have taken Noah to have more than 15 million animals inside these arks with enough food to survive the God intended flood with the sole human family kept alive on earth. Let say, to figure it out, if Noah would have managed to keep a steady pace of guiding one animal per minute, every day nonstop for 16 hours, it would have taken him more than 41 years to do that. (Including of course the book keeping to verify he had indeed at least one male and one female of each of the species, as well as feeding them all along). Some of the rather problematic episodes might have been to catch anacondas, kangaroos and leopards…

These Biblical accounts about Adam and Eve and Noah’s legends are clearly fictional stories no one can seriously consider today as historical events which literally did take place.

Sun Myung Moon however had the nerve to claim he had personal encounters and genuine dialogues with Adam and Eve, Lucifer, Noah and many other fictituous characters mentioned in Genesis.

His "authority" derived from the fact that no one else had ever made such a hallucinatory daring claim which seems to validate the historicity of Old Testaments legends.

One needs a lot of imagination to extrapolate theologies based on these mythic Biblical stories .

The Divine Principle theory indeed, creatively uses these narratives to elaborate an all other speculative fable, with the same fictitious characters acting within a brand new otherworldly scenario.

But then how can a rearranged legend, with added speculations on the fate of non-existent characters, be called “a new truth”?

Such a claim definitely appears as a real scam from a plain religious deceiver…

One can happen to ingenuously be moved by catchy intrigue within a movie, within a novel, or within the fictional DP narrative. But we should always keep in mind that it’s not for real. Neither Adam and Eve nor Homer Simpson ever existed.

Therefore let's make sure that our precious life is not outrageously ruled, without us being aware of it, by religious charlatans, however charismatic story tellers they may be.

They could make you think the moon is made of cheese…or that one day a Moon will rule the Universe.
