The Catholic Church is known to have, in the middle ages, taken advantage of its followers’ credulity to deceitfully raise a lot of money. That’s how the Popes both kept living lavishly and financed their ambitious pharaonic projects.
One could have thought that this kind of manipulation is now over, and that educated modern men and women have definitely turned the gloomy pages of past superstitions. Sadly, this is not the case…
For many decades the Moon family has been setting up, through “spiritual sales” an efficient process to steadily extort Japanese members’ money, without ever being held accountable for it.
“Spiritual sales” meant demanding exorbitant prices for common items which were presented as having specific outstanding magical qualities . These invisible supernatural powers would not only protect the buyers but most of all would protect their deceased relatives who are in desperate need of such a help from those they have left behind.
The most vicious argument was to pretend that the loved ones in the spiritual world would be eternally cursed, and would forever develop resentment toward their descendants unless they consent protecting them through such “spiritual sales”.
Now in Japan, UM leaders keep lying and presently refuse to admit these outrageous manipulative practices in spite of mountains of obvious facts and thousands of pending court cases initiated by devastated bankrupt victims.
Furthermore the Japanese UM movement having successfully managed to grab huge amounts of money through “spiritual sales”, later came to operate with an even more efficient scam from Korea, similar to Catholic Indulgences but with added cynical "improvements".
“Ancestors’ liberation and blessing” has been this even more lucrative swindle which didn’t need promoting any physical item to defraud members of their money. Besides, it's indeed a double racketeering since one must first pay to "liberate" one's ancestors, and later pay once more to "bless" them . It just requires the members’ misplaced trust in the Moons’ lies and empty promises. The infamous arguments are exactly the same as for spiritual sales.
Now let’s consider how much such rip-of costs for Japanese Unificationists, according to the above official “Liberation fee” established table:
In comparison American members will be extorted less than 40 000 dollars for exactly the same con.
Didn’t Sun Myung Moon say God loves America?
