Beyond the mooniverse

A liberating perspective on the deceptively idealized Unification Movement and its idolatry of the Moon family. May these insights help misled generous souls to break free from the Unificationist treacherous manipulation and subtly induced spiritual enslavement, with love and forgiveness...

THE MISLEADING INTERPRETATION OF THE MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB

                                               HOW GREAT THOU ART!

Errare humanum est. For great is our ignorance...

Barely 17 years old in 1960, Hak Ja Han was chosen by Sun Myung Moon, then 40 years old, to be not his nth concubine, but his third official wife. The event was subtly presented to her as the cosmic event of “the Marriage of the Lamb” which is mentioned in the Bible. She did believe it.

But what is the actual meaning of this biblical concept?

Even today, like the majority of Unificationists, Hak Ja Han continues to expose her impressive ignorance of the Bible and especially of Jesus's Words as recorded in the Gospels.

Thus, on many occasions, in her recent public speeches Hak Ja Han has kept proclaiming, with great aplomb, an amazingly manipulative untruth by stating that Jesus before dying on the cross had prophesied "that he would return in order to lead “the Marriage of the Lamb”. At the same time she subtly implied that she was to be the prepared “Bride” for this essential providential event…

Isn’t it a shocking and really mind-blowing revelation?

However, this Hak Ja Han’s awkward statement, with supposed Biblical basis, is in fact a pure fabrication of her own. It only has the self-serving objective to validate her spiritual greatness and unmatched superiority. Such a presumptuous teaching is an obvious counterfeiting and an intentional diversion of the meaning of the Gospels. And what impresses me the most is that none of the attending Christian pastors who are supposed to have listened to this message, have reacted to Hak Ja Han's whopping lie and daring misappropriation of what is written in the Bible.

For indeed in the Gospels, Jesus himself never mentioned nor referred to the "Marriage of the Lamb"- at any time -

It is only in the book of Revelation, which was written more than 60 years after Jesus' death, by the apostle John, then in exile on the island of Patmos, that "the Marriage of the Lamb" was mentioned for the very first time. Moreover, in this otherworldly recorded revelation to John, it was clearly not Jesus who spoke these words but "a voice in a large crowd... or an angel”.

In John’s mystical vision, the Lamb does represent Jesus. But who is actually this mentioned "Bride" who is specially prepared to receive Jesus? The answer is clearly given in Rev.21: The Bride symbolizes the New Jerusalem, the holy community of the faithful disciples of Jesus. It’s definitely not referring to one single woman who should marry Jesus, but it represents the glorious multitude of all those who are inscribed in the book of the Lamb and have walked in its light.

Why then can't attentive observers clearly notice in Hak Ja Han’s speeches, as well as in the Divine Principle, such a subtle misleading and abusive presentation of the words of Jesus? Aren’t we obviously facing here a fraudulent retrieval of the message from the Bible, and a clear attempt to justify and usurp a Divine mandate? Such a self-interested appropriation of Jesus' message and the distortion of his words are comparable to spiritual phagocytose: It’s typically what can be named a theological scam…

Hak Ja Han is so wrong. And she deceives those who are wrong to listen to her without even checking the veracity of her statements.

The Bride who is mentioned in the book of Revelation is in no way an ambitious Korean lady who would have erected during her lifetime a 4.3m high statue of herself wearing a crown and holding a scepter. (In her delirious megalomania, she is actually standing besides a smaller statue of Jesus- a humble Jesus kneeling at her feet, in boundless admiration and perfect awe for the one woman who would be the glorious eternal "True Mother of humanity")-

Hak Ja Han might possibly be convinced that Jesus is indebted to her because she claims to have previously blessed him in marriage to a Korean woman she had previously chosen for him. Furthermore Hak Ja Han is said to also have graciously bought an apartment for Jesus and his Korean wife. Such a generous deed however doesn’t authorize her to falsify the content of the Bible by putting in Jesus' mouth words that he never said.

In any case, she does not have to fear being sued by Jesus, for unlike herself, he doesn’t expect anything from the justice of this world, besides the fact he has no money coming from casinos, armament factories or ancestors' liberation fees to pay attorneys…
